    JV Driver International is part of the Civil & Infrastructure Enterprise. JV Driver international is responsible for all of the Group’s international projects, deliver finance/design/build international solutions. Our latest project is for a container terminal in St. Kitts and Nevis.

     

    Job Overview

    The Field Engineer reports to the Project Manager.  The primary responsibility of the Field Engineer is the planning, organizing, record keeping, field inspections and conducting technical reports.

     

    Primary Responsibilities: 

    • Actively participate in site Health, Safety and environmental processes, procedures, audits and inspections
    • Maintain effective and on-going communications with the construction management team and subcontractors concerning issues and challenges
    • Participate in preparation of project estimates, budgets, forecasts, schedules and execution plans
    • Prepare and submit reports on the progress and status of projects
    • Assists in the development of project Inspection and Test Plans, Project Quality Plans and other project required plans and procedures
    • Coordinate between engineering, construction, HSE and procurement
    • Assists in the review of drawings, project specifications and provides technical support to Estimating as required
    • Assists in the development of required procedures for implementation into the QMS
    • Implement project documentation and turn over
    • Proficient with programs including, MS Word, MS Excel.

     

    Primary Duties

    • Site monitoring of all Subcontractor activities, field notes and records of daily tasks undertaken
    • Monitor and take records of all Variation order work being carried out by subcontractors. Record timelines for Labour, equipment and material usage
    • Update daily dairy and maintain daily project photos
    • Coordinate with Subcontractors to compile as-built information and populate turnover binders with necessary documentation
    • Coordinate survey activities for quality checks
    • Receive and record contractor supplied material.

     

    Required Qualifications

    • Recent university or college graduate with Engineering or Technical Diploma qualifications.
