This position provides leadership in the organization or functional area and is primarily engaged in management activities that establish the direction of a department, function, or project. The position requires the application of knowledge gained from experience and expertise to the job duties and responsibilities. The position will make decisions in areas that may impact the organization and its employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices, or compliance programs.


Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain client relationships by regular communication to better understand project operations, this communication should; appraise of Fluor Driver activities, advise of potential improvements, assess changing needs, develop teamwork and ask for client feedback on performance
  • Manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities ,and timely performance feedback
  • Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locations
  • Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
  • Adhere to and support Fluor Drivers Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Provide economical effective services that allow the facility to be used for its intended purpose
  • Direct maintenance activities include the work that preserves, maintains, or restores the function of the building, equipment and installed systems; may include housekeeping and janitorial duties, general maintenance, preventive and predictive maintenance, repair, replacement, improvement, modification, and utility acquisition and distribution
  • Oversee indirect maintenance activities such as facilitating direct work execution and include work identification, cost estimating and tracking, purchasing and materials management, planning and scheduling, task tracking and monitoring, and maintaining facility, equipment, and financial histories
  • Perform Capital Asset Management to include coordinating the planning, constructing, maintaining, and equipping the functions completed within the facility


Other Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute maintenance, modification and outage activities in accordance with the requirements of the prime contract
  • Ensure maintenance planning and scheduling activities are fully integrated with plant operation
  • Perform work in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost control estimates
  • Control change/scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented, and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of work
  • Establish and maintains practices and procedures that ensure maximum efficiency in the execution of work
  • Provide resource plans, addressing overall resources, costs, scheduling and other details appropriate for the safe and efficient execution of work
  • Establish and maintain an effective maintenance cost control program to ensure that reported work order costs accurately reflect the costs incurred, that variances from the estimate or plan are identified in sufficient time to permit management intervention, and that accurate projections and forecasts of expenditures may be made as needed by client
  • Establish and maintain practices and procedures that ensure maximum efficiency in the execution of work, including analysis of historical data to assist client in providing equipment reliability at optimum costs
  • Review existing drawings and old project for accuracy and determine additional engineering design needed



  • Technical Trades certification with 12-15 years’ experience or equivalent
  • Superintendent II for a minimum 2–3 years
